It's Never Too Late to Help Those in Need
Campaign $50,000 Short of Goal
Niles – The United Way of Greater Niles announced today that pledge rallies recently completed
at Tyler Refrigeration, National-Standard, Semco Energy and Tyler Automotive have helped reach 80% of the fund raising goal. However, “we are still more than $50,000 short of our goal of raising $280,000 for local charities” said John Stauffer, executive director. “While we want to recognize and thank the donors that have already made pledges, we also want the community to know that it's not too late to help us reach the goal.”
“ Many non-profits depend on United Way funding and we still have a long way to go to reach our goal.
No donation is too small and when they are combined with gifts from others they have a major positive impact in our community,” Stauffer said. Last year more than 11,000 people in the area received services from agencies associated with United Way funding.
Donations may be sent by mail to P.O. 375, Niles, MI 49120 or made online with major credit cards at www.unitedewayniles.com. The fund raising goal this year is $280,000. Donations are used to help fund 17 local non-profit agencies that provide services in the greater Niles area.
